1960
Founded on July 7, 1960, by German immigrants Hubert and Johannes Schildwachter, Ártico was the pioneer in commercial refrigeration in the Itajaí Valley. Its main initial activity was focused on the manufacture of refrigerated counters and in a short time its brand was already prominent throughout the region, due to the quality of its products.
1963
Transfer of the company's headquarters to Travessa Pernambuco, 40.
1964
Under the exclusive direction of Hubert Schildwachter, the company begins the manufacture of the first refrigerated counters.
1972
Year in which Ártico settled definitively on BR-470, km. 3 (today, Rua Eng. Udo Deeke, 1882), in an area, at the time, of 45,000m2, of which 10,000m2 were built.
1974
Manufacture of the first freezer, with technology acquired from Germany by the entrepreneur Hubert Schildwachter. Manufacture of the first freezer.
1980
During this period, the production line was expanded and in addition to refrigerated counters, Ártico also started to produce commercial refrigerators, bakery equipment, snack bars, bakeries, restaurants, butcher shops and supermarkets.
1991
Ártico launches in the market its line of separable cold storage for cooling and freezing, with injected polyurethane insulation, serving bakeries, ice cream shops, supermarkets, butcher shops, hotels and restaurants. Manufacture of the first separable cold storage.
1995
Year marked by the great consumption and manufacture of ice cream buffets. Ártico consolidates itself as a specialist in the manufacture of furniture and open display freezers.
1998
Ártico signs an agreement with the UN to eliminate the use of CFC (ozone harmful gas) in its production line. Launch of freezers Metal Show line, with Skin Condenser system (without use of micro-motor and fan).
2006
Beginning of the reforestation project in Doutor Pedrinho, SC, 67 km from Blumenau, currently with a total area of 204 hectares.
2008
Expansion of the industrial park for the production of customized horizontal freezers.
2009
Development of solar cold storage design.
2010
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of its founding, and as a way of recognizing the community, founder Hubert J. Schildwachter donated a plot of land and a daycare center to the municipality of Blumenau. The Nursery, CEI Irmã Maria Christa Prüllage, is in the Itoupavazinha neighborhood and serves around 150 children.
2011
The year was marked by the development of the horizontal solar freezer project. Founder Hubert J. Schildwachter died on July 18.
2016
Ice Bar - 1st Ice Bar in Southern Brazil, developed and designed by the Ártico cold storage department.

Ártico was one of 14 Brazilian companies to participate in an individual UN project for the UNDP - United Nations Development Program, which aims to achieve solutions to global and national challenges
